To reinforce our manufacturing engineering department based in Welkenraedt, Belgium, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (m/f), key manufacturing engineer to lead process development activities.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • You will be a key member of a global team located in Welkenraedt (close to the German border) developing and improving manufacturing processes to support our vision of excellence in terms of safety, quality, deliveries and cost;
  • You are responsible for all engineering tasks related to the process development and improvement: 
  • Develop and Evaluate Solution Paths supporting our yearly factory strategy;
  • Process Safety & Quality Risk assessments prior to equipment order;
  • Problem Solving;
  • Guide process through production launch.
  • Your projects include different fields: mechanical, electrical, tooling, machine design, materials and others;
  • You work in a multi-functional team (Collaboration with Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Material teams).

For this role you will need:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering (Industrial Engineering) or equivalent by experience;
  • Flexible, well organized and open-minded;
  • Able to work in an autonomous manner and to take initiatives;
  • Passion for problem solving and technology;
  • Business Fluent in French and English, German is nice to have;
  • Good communication skills, written, oral and presentational;
  • IS literate (MS Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint);
  • Safety adviser level 2 or 1 (or willing to follow the training);
  • Basic drawing program (Autocad, Autodesk Inventor).
